WELCOME to the Gathering of Eagles. We are pleased that you have the interest and diligence to visit this cyber link and investigate the content and purpose of this endeavor. THANKS and we assure you your investment will abundantly reward your efforts.

GOE was established by a group of Evangelical Pastors concerned about the impotence and apathy evident in the church in America. We are audacious and courageous enough to believe that God will use a ‘remnant’ of surrendered and passionate leaders to change this profile. If this is your interest, read on!

The hyperlinks at left provide an over view of our purpose and objectives. Big picture is - we seek to attract a minimum of 20 Pastors/Churches in EVERY STATE across the USA. One crucial dynamic of our focus is to present orthodox theology in a format that is directed at the person in the pew. Our passion is to present Applied Theology. One tragedy of our faith over the past 50 years has been the reduction of Christianity to a set of “correct answers” to a series of doctrinal questions. Answer them correctly and you are considered a “card carrying Christian”.  Fail the catechism exercise and you may be in danger of any number of horrific consequences.

Sound exegesis of the NT paints an entirely different profile. Genuine faith requires an active participation in “living out on a daily basis” the principles and precepts inherent in sound doctrine. This is the Applied Theology we refer to. It is our intent to develop White Paper documents that the Pastor may put into the hands of the congregation. The first page or two will convey exegetically sound and precise material that is consumable, appealing and compelling to the believer. Subsequent pages will expand upon the initial statements. This material is by design an instrument useful in producing genuine Transformation in the life of a believer with consistent and measurable clarity. We will also offer a template that you may use in measuring with a significant degree of accuracy the growth, the Transformation of a believer into the fullness of the image of Christ. Pastor you will rejoice in the application of this process in your ministry.

There are numerous other entities that have attempted these same objectives. The Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals (they have local groups known as Societies) and The Founders Movement (they have groups known as Fraternals) are two examples. We affirm and support these efforts. We also sense that the content presented is marvelous but perhaps beyond the comprehension of the average person in the pew. Theological acumen and a theistic worldview are in short supply in our culture. Thus, we hope to preserve the theological integrity and sound doctrine while presenting Truth at a level and in a format that is profoundly effective and applied in everyday living. “Measure ministry by Transformation, not mere activity.”
