GOE Objectives Tentative Objectives Developed at the GOE Meeting January 3, 2006. These are tentative and we encourage additional thought and contribution on these items. Our discussion concluded that we take approx. 4 months on each of the five (5) major issues listed. In this time period we develop a Definition, and flesh out the other sub items listed in each category. Each man is to work on the definition of the Authority of Scripture for the next meeting. 100 words or less. Include Scripture references after the definition; these do not calculate in the 100 word count. Objectives: The GOE will seek to accomplish as ministry objectives: 1. A Theological Focus- Stimulation drawn from addressing current issues facing the church in America with a perspective of sound scholarship and an Orthodoxy that results in a robust Applied Theology. 2. Righteousness – The church in America becomes “The City on A Hill”. The pulpits of America flame with righteousness through the proclamation of the “whole counsel of God.” 3. Transformation – Heb. 10:24 We press for the cure and care of all people so that they accurately reflect the fullness of the image of Jesus Christ before a watching world. He is altogether wonderful and the world will see him as such when His people love, honor and obey Him. 4. Genuine Community – The GOE becomes a microcosm of what we endeavor to incorporate into the life of the Churches at large in America. We model as Leaders the theology and virtues we want to promote. 5. National Impact – This ministry will affect the “true church” in every city, town, hamlet and village across America. We touch every strata of society; racial, economic, educational, etc. |
