We appreciate your interest in SEC. We find joy in living out our faith before the watching world. It is our glad task to live as salt & light as we proclaim the message of salvation.   

We seek to guide people on an intentional journey of transformation and growth that leads to maturity in Christ. We help every member know what God has equipped them to do. We then ‘point them in His direction’ and rejoice as God uses His people to fulfill the "Great Commission".

Vision

To see all individuals and families in ZIP 29209 mature into a Biblically literate worldview where Christ transforms lives.

Mission

 To present God’s revelation, as recorded in the Bible, in all venues possible making accommodations for age and culture.

To provide practical training in how a Biblical worldview influences our time, finances, and activities as individuals and families.

To provide opportunities that allow all members of the family to worship together without regard to age, race, or culture.

To show how God has directed men in the establishment and sustainment of the American experiment.
Faith Laboratory is designed to develop ways to bring the family together in worship rather than sending everyone off in different directions.  We believe children and youth must be integrated into the adult world as soon as possible if they are to see relevance in the Christian faith as they grow older.  Faith Laboratory will develop ways to worship without regard to age, race, and culture.  We are forming a core group now (August 2009) to begin defining and implementing specific strategies.  Call or come for more details. AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.  The name comes from  2 Timothy 2:15  "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."  Click here to go to the AWANA web site.  AWANA meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30PM during the school year.  Call the church office for more information.
